To the North he is a Martyr, to The South he is a Murderer. Who is John Brown?

I think that John Brown was a murderer more than a martyr. John Brown attacked a federal building and he killed many people. Even though he was just doing what he believed in he should've said his beliefs and tried to fix it without violence. Since he didn’t like slavery he led a slave rebellion and that isn’t good because he shouldn’t be violent, kill many people, and breaking into a building. He wanted everyone to die and to get very hurt and that would just get the South more mad at the North before they even think about not having slavery anymore. John Brown started such a bad thing that they called it Bleeding Kansas. John Brown is a murderer and not a martyr because he could of done a lot of more things to help stop slavery than using violence.
