Was Industrialization Worth The Price?

I do not believe that the benefits of new technologies from industrialization were worth the cause. First and foremost, in a photo published by Detroit Publishing Company, there is a great amount of pollution in the air and environment. People were unaware of the pollution coming their way from factories. The photograph shows how much pollution is damaging the environment. People have got very sick due to pollution from factories. The environment and air is being polluted which is horrible and so many factories polluting is making the air and environment worse. This affects the society because people are getting hurt or sick. On the other hand, due to work-accidents, 526 men were killed in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Many men were also injured in accidents in the factories while working. “There is no bright side to this situation,” an excerpt explains. This evidence shows that from here on, the situation is bad and that there is no good side to it. The accidents and injuries will just get worse. This is affecting people because people working at factories are getting injured or killed. Many men got hurt or even killed. Lastly, in a poster created by Lewis Wickes Hines (1913-1914) informs people what children work on in factories and how it turns into “junk.” Children were put through a lot of hard work at factories. Children should be learning at school instead of getting hurt at factories. The poster shows that children have no future in factories. Children are being paid low wages while working. The poster shows that by children working at factories turns them into junk. The benefits of new technologies from industrialization were not worth the cause!
